Government Ecosystem

Huntsville is one of the nation’s most important epicenters for defense, national security, space, and technology. Home to the Department of War, U.S. Army, FBI, NASA, other federal agencies, world class research laboratories, engineering centers, and a robust defense industrial base, the region plays an integral role in advancing U.S. national security. With dozens of major commands, program executive offices, program offices, and mission organizations located on or near Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville is at the forefront of Army modernization, missile defense, aviation, space operations, intelligence, acquisition, research and development, and emerging technologies.

Yet even across closely aligned missions, organizations can operate within distinct program offices, acquisition communities, technical disciplines, and industry ecosystems. TechNet Rocket City was created to help bridge those boundaries bringing together leaders and experts from across government, industry, and academia to exchange ideas, share best practices, address common challenges, and identify opportunities for greater collaboration across the defense and national security enterprise.

The conference convenes senior government and industry leaders, program managers, acquisition professionals, engineers, scientists, technologists, researchers, small businesses, and academic partners to explore how we can accelerate capability delivery, strengthen partnerships, and advance mission readiness. Through candid dialogue and cross mission engagement, TechNet Rocket City creates opportunities to better connect operational requirements with innovative technologies, acquisition pathways, technical expertise, and the capabilities of the broader industrial and academic communities.

TechNet Rocket City is designed to be a catalyst for action. It challenges conventional thinking, breaks down organizational silos, connects mission needs with market innovation, and creates meaningful opportunities for collaboration and business growth. By bringing the right people, problems, and capabilities together in one place, TechNet Rocket City helps strengthen the national security ecosystem and accelerate the delivery of solutions to those who need them most.
